Apprentice or Licensed Water and Wastewater Plant Operator Needed with a Stable Work History.
A TCEQ license is not required but is preferred.
Must successfully pass background and drug screening and have a clear driving record.
Under direct supervision, the Water and Wastewater Apprentice or Plant Operator performs skilled work in the day-to-day operations of water wells, lift stations, and wastewater plant operations.
Other duties include:
Utility repairs, manhole repairs, meter leaks, tap line leaks, calibrate meters, maintain and repair District wastewater and water facilities
Assist with plant/facility operations as directed/needed.
Perform repairs on tap lines, main lines, manholes, meters, sanitary sewers, and valve leaks.
Respond to and resolve customer service complaints related to District facilities.
Review service orders for accuracy, details, materials, and comments
Hours primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but will include after-hours emergency calls and some weekend duty hours due to rotating on-call assignments.
Job Requirements:
Valid Texas driver’s license,
High School Diploma or GED required
TCEQ Water/Wastewater License preferred, but not required
Must successfully pass background and drug screening and have a clear driving record.
