Optometric Assistant/Optician - Sugar Land Job

Optometric office in Sugar Land is looking for a full time Optometric Assistant/Optician.

Candidate must be friendly, professional, hard-working, detail-oriented, dependable, and have a positive attitude, excellent communication and customer service skills. Spanish speaking and at least 1-2 years of experience in an optometric practice preferred.

Duties include but not limited to:
-patient sign in and check out
-answering phone calls promptly and professionally
-scheduling and verifying appointments
-verifying and billing of vision/medical insurances
-performing preliminary testing
-dispensing contact lenses as well as training patients on contact lens insertion & removal
-dispensing, adjusting, and repairing eyewear
