The Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center in Sugar Land now has more than 250,000 reasons to celebrate its success in the community once it welcomed the Frew Family last week.

To her surprise, Leighann Frew was thrilled to learn she and her four children were the visitors leading up to the 250,000-visitor milestone. They received a free annual membership and entrance into the Discovery Center to mark the celebratory occasion.
"It is amazing the support we receive from the community," said Iliana Jones, manager of visitor experience at Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center. "It has been great watching the Museum evolve and hitting this historic milestone is a symbol of our growth. Our guests really help to make the Museum a continuing success. We look forward to what the future holds and celebrating more of these moments."
"We are thrilled to be celebrating this major milestone, and we are happy to be such an important part of so many people's lives," said Rachel Leaman, member of the Museum's board of directors. We look forward to positively impacting children in Fort Bend for years to come."
The Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center is a very special project of the Children's Museum of Houston. It occupies a 12,000 square foot restored building (Imperial Silos) and features five interactive exhibits for children ages birth to 12. The Museum has delivered outreach programming in Fort Bend since the mid 1990s and opened the Discovery Center in May 2016.
