Cypress Bend Park

We are staying at Cypress Bend Park, which is run by the Lousiana Water Authorty.... it's really well done for a public park...they have cabins to rent as well as tent and RV areas. We went for a hike in the Sabine National Forrest to wrk off Dinner. What an amazing place big trees, rolling hills.Its nothing like the Texas we are used to in the Houston area.

I grew up in this area

I attended Nursing school and graduated from Northwestern State University which is close by in Natchitoches

I actually took Fishing as an elective in college LOL! We had a fishing tournament on toledo bend for our Final and my room mate and I won the tournament catching 45 fish with our rods and reels. Of course it helped that the football coach was in our boat

We had a big fish fry following. What a hoot. You are right it is a beautiful area and the fishing is really good there. One of my room mates was from Zwolle which is pretty close to there. Lots of really small country towns in the area.
