Jollibee to triple Houston-area locations with two new outposts slated to open this year Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee will triple its Houston area locations this year with two new restaurants set to open later this year.
Dubbed the "McDonald's of the Philippines," Jollibee's first Houston location opened in 2013 off South Main near NRG Park. The Chronicle reported in December that a second location is planned for 3347 Westheimer Road, in the space formerly occupied by Pollo Tropical. A Jollibee representative confirmed Wednesday that the Westheimer location has a target opening for some time this summer.
But West Houston residents won't have to wait until the summer to get their hands on some of Jollibee's raved out dishes, such as the hand-breaded chicken, known as "Chickenjoy", sweet-style Jolly spaghetti, and pancit palabok, a Filipino noodle dish. Representatives confirmed another location will open at 6127 SH-6 N, Missouri City, this spring.
Two other Texas locations are planned for San Antonio and Dallas, which are slated to open in the spring and summer, respectively.
Per the company website, Jollibee is the fastest-growing Asian restaurant company in the world and the Philippines' number one fast-food restaurant. The chain has more than 1300 stores across the globe and 37 in the United States.
Be sure to check back on Chron.com for future developments on the two new locations.

Has anyone been there before? The one by the Med Center looks fairly busy.

No, I haven't. The med center is always happening. I don't stop in since it's hard to find any Filipino veggie dishes.

Interesting, not many Filipino restaurants. Might be a while before I find my way up there, though.

It's pretty good! Been to the med center one a few times. Portions are alright, but the food taste is pretty good! Their dessert is pretty awesome too (Halo halo). I am excited for this place! Only thing i am worried about is that any restaurant that opens up there, tends to close down months later Emoticon I miss my Bush's Chicken and Fazolis!!

@chiu0nthls : I do not make it to Westheimer very often anymore, and never heard of your Bush's or Fazolis, which might be one reason why they closed. I dislike chain restaurants and try to support the little one or two place joints.

Whoops i mean Bush's and Fazolis in the current building on highway 6 where Jollibee is building.

Not a fan of chain restaurants as well, but these were the two staples of my college career!

@Jnainani :
Nice! Jollibee is like the Filipino version of McDonalds...it's cheap and quick fast food, but pretty good. I like their spicy fried chicken...much better than KFC, IMO.

I've been to a couple Jollibees in the Philippines and it tastes exactly the same here in Houston as it does there...they even wear the same funny brown, red and orange uniforms!

Great place to eat. Hope they do well in that location. Restaurants tend not to do well in Sugarland/Mo City. I will be there since I love the concept.
